THE TEAM ON SHOOT
"The Rainbow Crew"
We have been called this by our clients, as we reflect the New South Africa
ON CAMERA:
Bongani Msweli
Bongani Msweli is a graduate in Video Technology and now lectures part time at the Durban Institute of Technology. He has many years experience of camera work and has worked on the last seven Batho Pele programmes.
Linda Mgobozi
Linda is a permanent employee of SABC working as a professional news producer. Whenever she can, she is involved in Globalex productions and worked on the KZN Service Excellence Awards in 2005. Even when she can't join us on shoot, she is invaluable with scripting, translations and voice overs.
Sandile Magoso
Sandile joined us in 2003 in Mpumalanga and has brought a fresh, new look to the videos. He is also a graduate from the Durban Institute of Technology and really enjoys the travel. He also works extensively for M-Net on sports programmes, but he prefers Batho Pele finalists any day.
ON SOUND:
Ashan Ramphul
After completing his course at the Durban Institute of Technology in 1999, he completed his in-service training on the crew. He has produced excellent sound on the last 9 Batho Pele programmes. [He replaced Jack Devnerain, who left the crew to take a permanent role in Isidingo.] In August 2005, Ashan went into partnership with Dee and Linda, as one of the 3 members of Globalex Video Productions.
MOST OTHER THINGS:
Dee Tavener-Craig
Dee has been a freelance professional since 1987, at first in Johannesburg, and later, based in Durban, working for the SABC, Durban Municipality and a host of private and large corporations. She has written, produced and directed all 15 Batho Pele productions.
